Saturday July 6

Temiskaming Church will hold a Summer Carnival on Saturday, July 6 from 11AM - 3PM at Farr Park in Haileybury. There will be Inflatables, carnival games, face painting, prizes, and carnival food. Join them for this free family event.

There will be a charity Barbecue at Yves’ Prime Cut Meats Saturday, July 6th from 11 – 3 as a fundraiser for Zack’s Crib.

Monday, July 8 to Friday, July 12

Temiskaming Church will be holding Camp Deep Water the week of Monday, July 8 to Friday, July 12 from 9AM - 12PM daily. The free Day camp for kids will have Crafts, games, stories, snacks and more.

Tuesday July 9

There will be a coffee house musical jam at St. Paul’s united church in New Liskeard on Tuesday, July 9th from 7 until 10pm. All musicians are welcome, young and old and of all musical abilities and styles, as well as those who appreciate music makers and their sound are welcome to enjoy an evening of local entertainment. Donations will be accepted at the door and refreshments will be available. For more information call Brian 647-5671.

Wednesday July 10

The TD Reading Club Family Storytime will take place Wednesday from 11 to noon at the New Liskeard Branch of the Temiskaming Shores Public Library. Stories are geared for children 8 years of age and under. Children accompanied by an adult are welcome to join the program.

Hudson Outreach Library will be providing the ‘Summer Crafts for Kids’ program on Wednesday, July 10th from 2 until 4pm at the library, located on Highway 65 West, open to children ages 5 to 12.

Thursday July 11

The Temiskaming Shores Public Library presents ‘The Firebird’ by the Little Red Theatre Company at Riverside Place in New Liskeard on Thursday July 11th at 10:30am.m Free Admission.

Saturday July 13

The First annual Classic Car Show ‘Gathering of the Gear-Heads’ will take place on Saturday July 13th from 10am – 3pm at Bill Mathews Motors in New Liskeard.

The Temiskaming Shores Public Library is having a T.D. Summer Reading Club Story & Craft Program on Saturday, July 13th from 10:30 until noon at the New Liskeard branch. The ‘Save The Bees’ program is for children 5 to 10years old. To register or for more information call 705-647-4215

Monday July 15

Camp In Your Own Backyard is a children's day camp for ages 5-12 held at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church in New Liskeard July 15-19 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. In lieu of registration fee, please bring a canned food item each day for our local food bank. Haileybury Dental will hold their ‘Summer Sizzler’ event on Saturday, July 20th from 11am – 2pm at the Harbourfront Pavilion in Haileybury. Numerous activities for the kids, bounce house, face painting and live music, with food and refreshments available.

Narcotics Anonymous has their “just for today” group meetings at 70 Wellington street at St Paul’s united church every Thursday at 7pm and every Sunday at 7pm.

The Temiskaming Community Choir meets at the New Liskeard Community Hall every Monday evening from 7 until 9pm.

Plan to attend the Music Jam every Wednesday night from 7-10pm at the Grand Boulevard in Earlton. Spectators and Musicians are welcome to listen and dance or bring your instrument to plug into their system.

The Hilliardton card party takes place on the second Tuesday of every month starting at 7 at the Hilliardton hall, everyone is welcome.

The Temiskaming Hospital Auxiliary holds their regular monthly meeting the fourth Monday of every month at 2 p.m. in the hospital boardroom, everyone is welcome.

Consider donating your old reusable items, such as clothing, shoes, cell phones and appliances, to the Canadian Diabetes clothesline program. Call 1-800-505-5525 for more information or to arrange pick up. Proceeds will help support the work of the association and more than 9 million Canadians with diabetes or pre-diabetes.

If you have items that are clean and good repair, consider donating your items to the Salvation Army thrift store. Your donations can be dropped off at the thrift store located on Whitewood Avenue in New Liskeard, during business hours Monday-Saturday 10-4. Profits help support the ongoing ministry of the Salvation Army family services.
